Fantasia’s throat scare…

American Idol winner Fantasia diagnosed with a throat tumor…

Fantasia describes how she almost lost her voice in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine:

“The tumor that was on my throat would make me very tired … I kept telling them that I’m getting very tired. It was like I couldn’t get enough sleep. And sometimes onstage, I could taste blood.

I had braces on, so [I thought] maybe I’m biting my lip or I’m biting something in my gums or something. But I would taste blood every now and then.

I had to have a surgery. I had a tumor–he said it was a cyst, and before I went under the knife, he came out and told my mother–he said, “The joker was bigger than I thought it was … .”

Fantasia has made a full recovery from the surgery and is expected to return to the stage soon!!

Good for you Fannie – I do love that voice! The fashion sense sometimes – uhhh – not so much – but that VOICE honey???? Yeah, we’re glad you’re alright! Hee Hee – just playin’ Fannie, just playin’!!

Saying Goodbye to Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes…

Two legends passed on this weekend…

This is really sad and spooky at the same time.

Comedian Bernie Mac had been battling pneumonia this past week and rumors were swirling about his death. Though his reps were denying that rumor because our favorite funny man WAS still alive – he would go on to die on Saturday at age 50.

Bernie Mac suffered with sarcoidosis – his immune system was weak.  Doctors tried to resuscitate him twice.  First time worked, he was awake for about an hour.  The second time he went into cardiac arrest.  He died with his wife of 20 years – Rhonda – by his side.

Singer, Isaac Hayes was found dead in his home on Sunday – at age 65. The cause of death is still unknown at this time – it was also reported that Isaac may have been dead for at least two days prior to being found.

What a sad story to have to report on. I can remember the episodes of ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ when he had his regular card game with Isaac Hayes as one of his boys. I wonder if Isaac had a chance to see Bernie or was he too sick himself?

Bernie and Isaac will be sorely missed in our entertainment world. RouLaila’s prayers go out to both of their families. Bernie you definitely made me laugh, Isaac you absolutely made me swoon. Say hello to Cora Balcom for me… R.I.P.

I heard Models and Hairspray were everywhere!!!

What an unusual fight!!

Wanna be top model Bianca Golden and Hairspray actress Nikki Blonsky were in it to win it (seats that is..) at an airport in Turks and Caicos…

Nikki was supposedly saving five seats for her family when Bianca’s family wanted to sit – because of this, an all out brawl took place with Bianca’s mom actually having to be airlifted to a Miami hospital!!

Now I remember this Bianca chick from ANTM and I can just hear her now – “uh, uh your family ain’t SITtin’ in those seats so they’re AVAILable – move it or lose it hun!” Hee Hee!

Both girls were arrested – Bianca with assault; Nikki with actual bodily harm. Nikki’s father was charged with grievous bodily harm as I hear he was the reason Bi’s Mom is in the hospital.

Can you believe that??? These two families hollering and screaming in an airport and actually throwing fists??? I really wish there were some amateur videographers on hand for this one!!!! What? Do yall only cover Police beating folks down??

Awww… The babies!!!  Brad and Angelina have finally rounded out their Brady Bunch brood dreams!  The couple now has six children now, 3 boys and 3 girls as their twins – 1 of each sex – have finally arrived!

Damn that’s a lotta kids!!!

We all know that Brangelina is big on selling their babies first photos out to mags – these two here were reportedly worth 14 mill…   Those are some expensive photos – and they don’t even look like nuttin’ yet!!!

SHIA-way from the bottle, please, sir?

Funny little Disney channel guy turned Hollywood darling A-lister Shia LeBouef was arrested early Sunday AM after a fender bender in LA County. When the fuzz showed up, it was glaringly apparent that Shia was LeDrunk and they carted his cute little tush away..

Why I had to invade Roule’s space is that I am hoping and wishing and praying that this little honeybun does not go the way of folks before him, aka the cruddy Coreys, aka Al Anon poster child Ben Affleck and, perish the thought, River (total extreme, mind you, but stranger things have happened - see River) - I mean yes, people make mistakes (this is Shia’s second occasion of driving while under the influence) and goodness knows these Holly Hills kids have their fare share of temptation and anything goes but right now this guy is considered Good with an edge, not a Colin Pharrell edge but just enough that his third strike could push him into Paris and Nicole territory – and you wouldn’t want to be a part of their club, now would you Shia?

Storch says Bye, Bye to Beach Home…

Music Producer Scott Storch is losing home to foreclosure…

Storch, who has assisted in the careers of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera – owes a year’s back mortgage on his 10 milliion dollar, 10-bedroom, 16 bathroom mansion in Miami Beach as reported by WalletPop.

Doesn’t stop there though folks – he also owes the electric company and security company!  His Ferrari, motorcycle and bike have been taken away as well.  What a way to go Storch – not only do you have nowhere to live – you can’t even drive yourself to the nearest motel.

Storch was reportedly worth 70 million last year and can’t pay his freakin bills?? that’s unbelievable – He probably just doesn’t want to pay bills so that he can save his moulah for bling, parties with Paris, spending a milly on jewelry for Lindsay and cool gear.  I’m sure he couldn’t have blown through 70 million bucks in a year – shooo his mansion was only 10 he could have just paid that off!!

I understand though Scottie boy – you owe mad g’s in child support for your youngest kid and mad money in school tuition for your 16 year old.  What the hell are you doing with your bread homey??  TRUST if I was worth 70 million I’d be riding pretty with bills paid automatically from my account every month – how do you fall this behind with that kind of bank????

Maybe I need to call you and explain how simple handling your dough can be.  Is your cell on???

Introducing JENELLE SIMONE…

Jenelle Simone is claiming her spot in the modeling industry…

The African American/Puerto Rican beauty who stems from the island of Staten is making some noise – and a lot of folks are paying attention!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Jenelle when I worked a brief stint at Bliss Spa in New York. We were both working in the customer service department and itching to get out… Jenelle used to tell me then – I’m going to model. I knew she would.

And so she is – Jenelle can be seen in various print ads from Soft & Beautiful to KING Magazine – commercials that include NIKE and BET promo’s – featured in a BET commercial with Puffy (yes, thee Puffy) and was a model for RIP the Runway 2008, Tracey Reese and HOT 97′s full frontal fashion show – that’s just naming a few! This young lady is on fire and trust – there’s no stopping her! Know how I know?? She is currently one of the 20 women chosen to appear on Model Latina on SiTV!

Golden Girl Sophia has died…

Estelle Getty played ‘Sophia’ in the 80′s sitcom, ‘Golden Girls’… She was 84.

Estelle passed at about 5:30 am today in her Hollywood Boulevard home. Though Estelle was the youngest of the ‘Golden Girls’ she played the oldest – feisty, opinionated Sophia – who came to be the most memorable character of the four.

Getty is survived by her sons Carl and Barry Gettleman, her brother David Scher and her sister Rosilyn Howard.

May you Rest In Peace Estelle.
