KHAIRAH LAILA OF ROULAILA
The consumate Jersey Girl, at a young age, Khairah’s family knew she was destined for greatness – her written and verbal prowess and passion for fashion making themselves visible early on. During her primary school years, Khairah was chosen to be a part of Locust Middle School’s Gifted and Talented program where she competed in Olympics of the Mind forums, wrote poetry published in Stuffed Sandwich and created one-man dance and modeling routines to entertain her elders during summer vacations and herself to pass the time at home after school.
During high school Khairah participated in school plays – snagging the coveted role of Medea in a Midsummer Nights Dream and perfecting the histrionics of the Mayor’s wife in Birdie – created a dance routine as a cymbalist for the marching band (SHUT up Roule) and modeled in pre-prom fashion shows; she also found time to give birth to a beautiful babygirl who would be her inspiration for the future - a future prophetic little brother and future hunger for success.
After a brief tenure at Nordstrom, Khairah re-channeled her focus to corporate America and began a fruitful career in the private sector, working for Nomura Securities, JP Morgan Chase and, presently, Morgan Stanley. She has never, however, forgotten her passion for the written word and, as a result of persevering, was chosen to soley author, edit and publish Big News, a newsletter for the Giant Screen Cinema Association’s annual International Conference. After creating the critically acclaimed, inaugural issue in Boston in 2005, Khairah was invited back for a repeat performance in 2006 in LA – copies available upon request.
Khairah currently sits on the National Communications Team for the Unity Fellowship Movement as the Special Assistant to the Vice President and chief liasion and correspondent for Unity Fellowship New Brunswick. She has conducted interviews about up and coming gospel artists and writen op/ed travel articles.
With this latest endeavor and brilliant idea for a blog, Khairah and Miste (Middle Kidz Productions) will take the world wide web by storm and parlay their shared talents into an empire – just watch!
