Now, let me see – was that 1993 when Czechoslovakia split into two countries?
And, mind you – this same bone has fallen out of Johnny’s mouth on not 1, not 2 but FOUR different occasions over the years – what is wrong with him?!
Even dumb as a door Bush noticed it in 2000 – he said even he knows there’s only a Czech Republic and a Slovakia!
At last check, the former ambassador to Slovakia was endorsing McCain.

The Ultra Conservative, Ultra Powerful and Ultra Christian Tony Snow Passes
Even having to dance with the devil for work on a regular basis did not taint this man’s fundamental belief in the everafter. At 53, Tony Snow humbly waved his final white flag to colon cancer – he is survived by his wife and three children.
I am normally not a champion of anything even remotely associated with NutBush, Conservatives and/or Republicans but Snow was a horse of another color all together.
He was witty, he was smart, he was the epitome of spin doctor and he believed in God; more viscerally than any other politician I have listened to, read about or took interest in, to date. Snow went so far as to wax quixotic about his illness and the blessings revealed even while he worked to understand the why through a glass, darkly (I Cor 13:12).
Ironically it was last July, almost to the day of his passing, when former Press Secretary Snow gave the most prolific and candid interview about his bout with cancer and his surrender to God during the battle (Christianiy Today, 2007) - he gives you a bird’s eye view not as a victim, but as a victor in one of life’s great competitions – the battle to understand Why Me.
No, he didn’t make me wish such a hardship upon myself and my family in order to be closer to God but he did help me realize that we never fully grasp the meaning of life until we have an actual expiration date looming.

Gas Prices Soar and Hold at a record High
So are the Saudi’s high for selling it to us at that rate or are we high for continuing to drop our draws and bend over when we buy it?
Yes audience, I realize gas is a current event but CLEARLY, the only individuals who can attempt to fix this inflammatory situation are our presidential nominees, no?
Let’s take a closer look at what they’re proposing:
McShame wants to suspend the federal gas tax for the summer – which will save you a whopping 30cents a day for 90days – earth shattering. He wants to open up shore lines for domestic drilling – by lifting the ban on off-shore drilling – bunch of confusing words strung together that basically mean allow fat-cat private oil companies to destroy the earth right here in the good old US of A; a plan that his own current party leader (NutBush) has been quoted as saying the positive effects of off-shore drilling will not be seen for atleast another 10 to 20 years. Sounds like a plan if your name is Rip Van Winkle.

Ok. So by now you may think I’m slightly skeptical of just about everything. You might be right.
The G8 Summit always brings to mind the old Pol joke with a different spin – how many countries does it take to a screw over a Continent?
I mean come the hell on, Super Powers. Let’s take a peak into your closets -
3 years ago in Scotland, the Summit meeting ended with a pledge decision to increase foreign aid to the most careworn nations by 50 billion dollars – to be completed by 2010; half of that was to go directly to the beleaguered mother land.
To date, according to DATA (shout-out to Bono for co-founding this big brother Aid to Africa tracking tool) only 3 billion bucks has been collectively delivered; surprisingly, the US, Germany and Great Britain lead the pack on follow-thru – Japan, France, Canada and Italy clearly need to be slapped into action and Russia isn’t even on the radar.
So what are the checks and balances for this broken promise? Who gets banished from the sandbox for not playing properly? Does the fact that they are sheepishly revisiting the same damn subject matter send any bells off for the rest of the world that NOTHING.GETS.DONE at these stupid vacations masquerading as meetings?
None. Nobody. Nope!

Bill’s a bitter brother and he’s cheesed off that all of the planning and underhanded schemes didn’t pay off.. I mean - offices in Harlem, Bill? Who fell for that crap?! Mr. President was quoted as saying Obama would have to “kiss his ass” if he wanted his support…hate to break the bad news to you Bills, Bills, Bills but he’s already the nominee for your party, and all of your black supporters will have the weight of Atlas on their shoulders if they don’t capitulate. As far as my hispanic brethren, that last kiss between Hil and Barack cracked it out of the park - its a doobie with pins in it Mr. Monica – he’s got the whoooole world, in his hands!
This inflammatory comment can really be dumbed down to a temper tantrum of a has-been, furious because his ass got tossed from the sandbox. Period.
What I did take issue with in the story was the remainder of the quote from the “source”:

First of all, in order to understand how Zimbabweans don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell for reform, you have to know a few things:
A) The President is both the head of government AND the head of state
B) Formally the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, Boo-gabe single-handedly (not really, he had the help of his Nazi-like ruling party ZANU-PF scare the bejesus out of the rest of the Parliament and Senate) amended the constitution, demolished and abolished the office of the PM and created an executive presidency to which he deposited his royal behind directly into, immediately
C) The elected government controls all senior appointments in the public sector, including the military and police (one in the damn same if you live in Zim) and the HNIC appoints all 26 members of the ruling party which outranks the damn ruling government, or Cabinet, so what the blue hell is the difference, either way??
The ray of hope this year:
The Zimbs are fed the hell up with being told when and how to shit, shower and shave after all these years and two very courageous opposers are threatening to unseat the fatcat from his perch – one being a whistleblower, turncoat formally down with the voodoo ZANU – lets see how far he makes it..

US Supreme Court Rejects Death Penalty for Child Rape
Are you freakin serious Justice Kennedy?? How on earth can you swing your vote towards denying death for someone who has stolen the innocence of a child??
I’ve been watching for this ruling since April, when the Supreme Court first began hearing arguments regarding the death penalty being imposed for crimes other than murder – an issue not brought to the forefront for more than 30+ years. I was cringing even then because the majority of the judges that sit their ultra-conservative asses on the Supreme bench are not the most emotional, heartfelt justices of the peace – unless the ruling is regarding abortion and gays; and while I completely understand that an unbiased, almost clinically detached air is required when hearing arguments of any nature, these cool customers promised to deliver exactly what I feared – a rejection; and lo and behold, here it is.
Mind you, this argument came to light when Patrick Kennedy, an inmate on death row at The Louisiana State Penitentiary convicted of maliciously raping his 8yr old stepdaughter (who required extensive surgery as a result of the rape and internal injuries sustained during the traumatic experience) and his attorney, decided to challenge the prosecutor and the state who are both determined to kill Kennedy for this heinous crime.
Did he do it? Not according to Patrick – two african american teens are responsible; but that’s not even my point right here..
I wrote a paper in school about the death penalty and how its morally unconscionable to take someone’s life for the sake of justice – I am hauling ass right now back to the other end of the spectrum..
Any individual on this earth who decides to engage in illegal acts of SEX with a CHILD, not an aquiescing teenager whose parents cower behind the laws of statutory rape, but a bonafide child, between the age of newborn and 17 year old? You damn skippy, take them out – lethal injection, electric chair, firing squad, rat poison, decapitation, dragging behind a car, old-school 15th century boiling – whatever floats your boat, go for it. I cannot express it enough, this is a crime punishable by death.
Yes, I’m a christian. Yes, I believe only God can judge.
BUT, when a grown ass man or woman of sound mind makes the conscientious decision to engage in sexual activity with children, they are not crying out for help, they are expressing a sick preference and they don’t deserve the blessing of breathing.
Now do you want to know how I really feel?
Thank God that my childhood dream of attorney has yet to be realized – because at this stage of the game I would probably be disbarred for turning on the people I’d taken an oath to defend and protect – I’d probably specialize in defending pedophiles, sex traffickers and child porn specialists just so that I could throw their trials and turn them loose in maximum facility prisons.
To reject the idea that sexual crimes against children do not mitigate the death penalty is so unbearably sad and hopeless – imagine an 8 year old growing up, unable to bear children, unable to ever have a fruitful relationship, undergoing years of therapy to eradicate the recurring nightmares of being raped, sodomized and tortured; imagine being powerless to punish the person who did this to you.
Now imagine that’s your daughter and the supreme court tells you its unconstitutional to kill this animal who carried out this crime and get back at me.

The chickens have finally come home to roost – believe that. But don’t expect anybody to really start talking about it for fear of ‘them’ finding out.
Case in point – one of my all-time favorite writers and acclaimed journalists, Marcus Mabry, who has addressed so many issues near and dear to my heart, really set my tale on fire in this past New York Times’ Week in Review. I was all types of excited to dig into his article “Color Test: Where Whites Draw the Line” – talk about a letdown. I expected someone like Marcus, author of groundbreaking memoir White Bucks and Blackeyed Peas, to really break down Barack as the walking litmus test for tolerance that he is; reveal this presidential race as the final frontier for equality in a world where there is none.
What I got was a crapload of quotes and a page full of useless indicators – I found Marcus in none of it. More importantly, I found Obama curiously lacking air time as well.
Mr. Mabry, with all due respect, how could you raise such an inflammatory argument and not argue it?! How could you not tell his story and the reason why he came? Not his ancestry, not his educational history and his resume – his, by way of our, story? Good freakin grief. You allow a bunch of rabble rousing pundits to toss around the possibilities and pontificate on whether or not the world is ready, point out why he comes in juuuust under the radar and is therefore safe enough for white america to accept but you don’t say Ha! Gotcha!
White Americans have fallen for the oldest trick in the book, the ones that mega mogul drug dealer- turned rap-impresarios like master lyricist Sean Carter would shake their heads forlornly at and say, “look at dat N****, still sleepin..” They got comfortable with a safe negro, an assumed house negro and let him in and now that he’s become an integral part of the household, they can’t let him go, even if they want to – they need him on that fence. Obama has cultivated safety amongst white americans, has forced them to lower their guard and self-reflect – he’s made a life becoming the “some of my best friends are black” black. But did the ‘Art of War’ in polysci teach you people nothing?! Most of the longest ruling chinese dynasties maintained power by fattening up their enemies and keeping them greedy for more.
John Q. Cracker, consider yourself immobilized – you love the hell out of Senator Obama and aint a doggone thing you can do about it. Attack on Mrs. Obama
Of course you knew it was coming. Anyone associated with this hope, this change, will definitely come under fire if they even sneeze without covering their mouth.
“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country,”
This is the remark that has sparked the doubt of patriotism with our Golden Lady. Truthfully Mrs. Obama I agree. I can’t really remember too much in my adult lifetime that makes me really say, “Wow, America makes me proud!” I’m sure a heap of Americans feel that way. Yes, the fact that a black man is running for Democratic President makes me proud – Yes, the fact that this man represents the hope of real change for this Country makes me proud – Yes, the fact that I’m even this interested in the Presidential election makes me proud. And no, I haven’t felt this way in a long time. So I understand you Miche. And so does the present First Lady Laura Bush – here’s her quote: In an interview with ABC News, she said: “I think she probably meant ‘I’m more proud.’ … You have to be really careful in what you say because everything you say is looked at and in many cases misconstrued.”
